4 - 5 December 2012
Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre | Melbourne
This year see's RadioComms Connect move to a new home for 2012's conference on 4 - 5 December, having outgrown the very popular venue of the last 4 years. The state of the art facilities available at the new MCEC, adjacent to 'Geoff's shed', including the increased space available for exhibitors in the 2500m2 Banquet Hall, are a fitting home for the regions foremost radio and combined communications event. At the same time, ARCIA's Industry Gala Dinner will also move to the same venue, ensuring attendees to both conference and dinner are well looked after. RadioComms Connect 2011 played host to over 700 participants 16 - 17 November as they descended on Etihad Stadium for what has become the focal point of the two-way radio and combined communication industries. Virtually all major players operating within the radio space in Australia took part, attracting dealers and consultants, along with end users from government, utilities, enterprise and public safety organisations.
Thanks to all those who took part and contributed to the event's success.
Since its launch in 2007, this highly focussed event, run in conjunction with ARCIA's Industry Gala Dinner and awards, has attracted those looking to keep in touch with developments and find out where the sector is heading in the years ahead.
With talks on LTE, P25, dPMR, DMR and TETRA, and case studies from mining, oil and gas, surf life saving and transportation - along with a look at critical communications as they applied to the Christchurch earthquake, the Queensland floods and Cyclone Yasi - there was an exciting and informative program that challenged and engaged.

"This conference is unique; it is an industry gathering rather then a "show and tell" to clients. Much of our industry is built on system integration and personal contacts. This conference, combined with the ARCIA dinner, allows for a huge amount of networking and interaction between vendors."
JP - CSC Australia Pty Ltd
"I thoroughly enjoyed the entire event. My only comment (not really a complaint) is that due to the quality of presenters and topics there wasn't enough time to sit in on the presentations and get around and see all the exhibitors."
GH - Mine Site Technologies
"Excellent networking opportunity; the exhibition hall was a valuable source of product and services information."
PT - Woodside Energy Limited
"It was great to be able to mix with all of the major players in the field in one place."
SL - Northpower
"Ensuring our network is as robust as possible utilising new technologies and processes will be beneficial to our company."
TW - ETSA Utilities
"It was a great opportunity to meet old and new industry colleagues, exchange experiences and hear about successes and issues. Presentations were of a high standard, and unfortunately I had to miss some due to the overlap."
